06-30-2005 NO RACE TODAY/WORK DAY
We will not Race today as the track is still rough and needs more
work before we can use it. There was a handful of us out working last night
and we will be out working again tonight after 7pm. We could use your help
so bring out a weedeater or mower and lets get the track looking great!

The track is looking much better with most of it smooth. We still have much
more work to do to get it ready for the race next Monday. We could use your

We have a dry track now and it is starting to look very nice. A few of us
did work on the track last night. THANKS TO THOSE WHO HELPED.
TOP OF PAGE 06-23-2005 NO RACE TODAY/WORK DAY
We will not Race today as the track is to rough, it still needs much work
before we can use it for Races or Practice. There have been only 3 people
helping repair the track. With this in mind IF YOU DON'T HELP, we won't
race till July 4th. Any local riders who want to race (either track)
will need to volunteer to help each track function. Yukon BMX has been
getting some help from a handful of parents and riders but both tracks
have suffered much damage from the rains we have had in the last month.
Sooner Pearl had heavy damage and needs much work, Yukon BMX (we believe)
has raced but still needs work also. Parent and racers need to step up to
help as the few who are helping will get tired of working by
THEMSELVES. It takes EVERYONE to make a track function. It is
time for you to STEP UP.
We will be out working on the track this evening after 6:30pm and could use
your help, also we will need to get many volunteers to work the Redline Cup
race on the 4th of July and the Race for Life / State Qualifier the middle
of next month.

Sooner Pearl will be hosting the only Redline Cup Qualifier in Oklahoma on
July 4th. Three people have been out working on the track most every night
to get it in shape just to ride on. As it stands today the 1st. straight
is clear and good the rest of the track is rough. Since only 3 poeple have
been working on the track without any help from riders, parents or Board
members the track (more than likely) will not be ready to race till July
3rd. This race will go on as scheduled and the track will be in shape.

Sooner Pearl now has the Redline bicycle which will be given away during
the race on July 4th. We will have it out for display as soon as we get it
assembled and ready to ride. It looks nice and is a limited edition bike
as only 50 are built each year to be given away at the Redline Qualifiers.

We will not race today for several reasons, the track is way to rough, it
is FATHERS DAY and very little help this week. Sooner Pearl needs you to
come out to repair the track for racing and practice. As usual the more
volunteer help we have the sooner the track will be SAFE enough and smooth
enough for riding.

also we will need to get many volunteers to work the Redline Cup race on

TOP OF PAGE 06-18-2005 NO RAIN TODAY
We were scheduled to have a WORK DAY today but due to circumstances the
Track Operator was unable to go to the track. A vehicle was required and
our vehicle was not available to drive to the track and the driver was
unable to correct the problem till late in the day. If you came out to work
on the track (I apologize for not coming) we are sorry for the delay and
for no being able to go to the track Saturday.
TOP OF PAGE 06-17-2005 MORE RAIN TODAY
After getting 1 day without rain (yesterday) more came again today and the
track is muddy and more than rough. A few people did come out to work last
night and we did get a little bit of the track looking good BEFORE THE
RAIN TODAY. Without more HELP the track will be closed for several days due
to the MUCH NEEDED RAIN. Now we hope the rain stays away for a week or so
and we can get the track back in shape for riding.

The track is very rough from more rain and it is really rough now. We have
been getting heavy rain and this has washed the track most of the way
around. It looks as if we have more rain on the way tonight so it may get
worse before it gets better. We will be out working on the track tonight

The track was a little muddy yesterday evening and rough from all the rain
but we will have Practice tonight. We will be working on the track and
Practicing both tonight. The way things are going we may cancel some Races
and Practices this month due to work scheduling. We will let you know what
is going to happen as we find out what our schedule will be. If you come

TOP OF PAGE 06-13-2005 MORE RAIN LAST NIGHT
We had some heavy rain in the evening last night and it looks as if we may
get more early this morning. No tornadoes but high winds, heavy rain and
more lightning than we could imagine last night. It was quite a sight both
on the ground and looking at the local radar. The local television weather
forecasters had a busy night for sure.

We will cancel races for today, the track is very muddy.
We had heavy rain yesterday and it looks as if we will be getting more
this morning. The track is muddy from yesterdays rain and more rain will
only make the area around the track greener but will not be much help for
the rain eroded track. All this rain has washed much of the track away,
much work will be needed to repair it for our races next month.

It was time for RAIN today as we have had some heavy rains move across the
city area early this morning. It was more like a lake than track today as
most of the area off track was under water early this morning. The track
had many wet places with some under water.
STARTING June 19th we will have a WORK DAY each week till the end of summer.
We will be working to improve the track and changing some of the track after
the middle of July.

TOP OF PAGE 06-06-2005 NOT AS MUCH DAMAGE AS THOUGHT
It seems the track was missed by most of the heavy rains and was not as
damaged as we thought. That is a good thing. This time of the year is
with very heavy rains hitting the city area. The track was missed by most
when things start getting heated up for all the BIG races around here and
in the nearby states. It is time for YOU to get to the track and work on
your riding abilities, also to help SUPPORT the track.

We will cancel racing today due to rain early this morning.
The rain is back and this time it is heavy rain with hail. At 5:30 am the
rain has come back and it has been raining for about a half hour now. The
track is very wet and getting worse. As it looks we will be getting more
rain for the next hour or so with more in store for today as we have a cold
front overhead and the storms are popping up along this cold front line. As
it looks currently we may not be able to use the track for several days if
we get much more rain today due to bad washing of the track and no time to
get things back in shape.

It seems our spring rains have come to town these last few weeks with
spotty rain but no major rain so far this year. Well that changed today
with very heavy rains hitting the city area. The track was missed by most
of the rain and is still very dry today but we have a forecast for more
rain tomorrow. We would like to get more rain but we don't want to cancel
events due to rain. The last year has been our worst in memory as far as
cancelling events and more rain will just make it worse.

We did not RACE yesterday as planned due to the complete lack of riders
coming to the track to race. The track is in the best condition it has
been in this year and we have no riders who come to race. Our team of
volunteers have been working hard to keep the track in shape to no avail as
all the work is for not if no riders come to race.

We will Race today with Sign ups starting 1 hour after the end of the race
at Yukon BMX. We will update the phone message as soon as we know what time
Sign ups will start. The track is smooth and ready to ride so we want
everyone to come out and race at Sooner Pearl tomorrow afternoon. The
weather forecast is for warm temps in the upper 70s or lower 80s for the
high and little wind so it will be a great day to race.

We did have a bit cooler weather today but it did make it to the 80s and
once again we made it without rain. The track is in good shape and a few
of us will be out working on getting things ready for our Sunday race. With
no rain today the track is dry and ready for racing and we will be getting
a little of the grass mowed today.

Once again we had rain today and things did get wet this time. One good
thing about the rain is it did cool things off quite a bit today. The
weather forecast for the weekend is for a chance of rain till Monday. We
could use more rain but let it happen after Sunday so we can get in a race
over the weekend.

We will Race today with Sign ups from 6-7pm. We got more sprinkles again
today and again it was not enough to get the track wet. If you plan to race
in the State Qualifier at Yukon Sunday you need to get out and race today.
Sunday will be the second State Qualifier and if you plan to work on a State
Championship this year you need to race 2 of the 3 races this year. Since
Sand Springs has already had their race and you didn't make it there you need
to get to this race and our State Qualifier.

It was much cooler today and we did get a few sprinkles of rain but not
enough to even get the track wet. We did have some visitors to the track
last night who tried very hard to enter the tower but as usual they were
very tired and unhappy went they finally gave up. They just like to work
up a sweat for nothing as they did not get into the building.

We will Practice today from 6:30-8:30pm. It looks as if the rain has passed

The weekend is packed full of events all over Oklahoma. The CBF/HSA event
here in Oklahoma City Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sands Springs BMX will
have their annual Race for Life today and their State Qualifier race Sunday,

With the weather in mind Sooner Pearl WILL NOT RACE Sunday. We were
planning to race Sunday evening after the Sand Springs race but they are

This weekend is packed full of racing action. Saturday starts off with
Yukon BMX racing early in the morning. Saturday afternoon Sand Springs BMX

wind is down again today. It looks as if we will have rain moving in
this evening. Today may be the only day on the track till next weekend if
you look at the weather forecast.
The hard work on the track is starting to pay off as we have much dead
grass on the track. The poison seems to have done a job on the grass and
now it needs to get cleaned off and areas will need to be packed. If we
get rain later today and Monday it will be WORK TIME on the track while it
is damp and easy to work.

and maybe even some from out of the country. Matt Hoffman will be there,
and with him comes HIGH PROFILE BMX riding. Could be a good time to come
out to the track as there will be riders there from the event.

with grass killer yesterday and it would be a good idea to stay off the

What a day at the track today with vandals, cops, street people and our
local riders who don't race making it to the track. At about 5pm a couple
of us were going back to the track to find 6 young men working on the
Mobile Mini door locks in daylight. What will it take to at least slow this
type of disrespect for the track and our property. Today since we caught
the guys in the act the Police wasted only a few minutes getting to the
track to investigate what was happening. More paperwork is all it has gotten
us along with extra bills to repair the damages.

The weather was great today with little wind, clear skies and NO RAIN. It
seems we do get some good weather on the WRONG days to Race or Practice.
The good thing about this is it will change in a couple days and we will
have good weather for out races. As it looks today Sunday races may be
cancelled again due to rain we will have to wait to see what happens.

We did have a Practice tonight but no one came to Practice as it was again
very windy at least till the sun went down. While we did not Practice we

We had some very windy weather yesterday and we guess most riders didn't
want to get out to the track, so we did not race on Sunday. The track is
looking good and getting greener each day. All things considered it was
very windy but a few riders did come out and we Practiced for a couple
hours even with the windy conditions.
TOP OF PAGE 04-03-2005 RACE TODAY
We will be racing today with Sign ups from 1-2pm. We are hoping for very
good weather and good rider turn out. The year has been full of fun so far
along with hard work getting and keeping the track in good shape. New riders
are coming out and the racing is turning out to be very good at most races.
Some minor work is needed before we can race today. Since we did get rain
with the local riders riding on the wet track things are a little rough in
few places. Things are looking good for a few days as the weather forecast
is nice for the next few days with only small chance of rain, it would be
nice to get in a Practice night for a change or 2 races in the same week
maybe?

TOP OF PAGE 04-02-2005 LOCK ON THE GATE?
Things are really getting green around the track and the number of visitors
has increased each week. With the opening of the new Skate Park just a few
blocks away many bike riders have been migrating to Sooner Pearl. That is
not the only thing that has been migrating to the track as we have had
several motorcycle riders on the track and more than our share of just
out right vandalism the last few weeks. As for the lock on the gate that
may be in the future for Sooner Pearl.
Today the track was dry again and there are some spots which will need work
before we race tomorrow. Most of the track is in good shape and with a
little work all will be well again for Sunday races.
TOP OF PAGE 04-01-2005 COOL AND DRY
It was cool and a little windy today but dry with clearing skies. After
cancelling races on Thursday evening the rain did come but much later than
at the time we cancelled. We were lucky in that we didn't get much rain and
the track is mostly dry. However we did have some riders who did ride the
muddy places and made a mess.
Sooner Pearl will not race on Saturday. With the track in the shape it is
currently in and other considerations we will not race. Now for some better
news as most know Sooner Pearl will be moving due to the relocation of I-40
to just north of where Sooner Pearl is currently located. Plans are ongoing
to move the track to another location in the near future some of the OKBMXPA
will be meeting with City Officials. All of us hope for good results for the
future of Sooner Pearl.

At 5pm we have heavy thunderstorms moving into the city area so we will
cancel races today. Sorry folks. The weather needs to start co-operating
so we can get in a race or two.
The track is in good condition and a little rain would help get things so
we can get more work done on it. The huge pile of rocks located on the
northwest side of the track is now gone but there needs to be some more
work done to completely clean up the mess there but the rocks are gone. It
looks much better there now anyway.

The weather was great today and things are looking good at the track. The
grass is starting to get green and grow which means mowing is in order for
our next project at the track.
It looks like we will get some rain tomorrow but as for now we will have to

The weather is nice except for the 40mph wind, we will cancel Practice for
today due to the strong winds. Most riders would not want to come out to
ride because of the wind.

have been working on it to make it better. We could use your help as we
have a few projects in line for the coming months and if you would like to

HAPPY EASTER
The rain missed us altogether and we will race today if riders show. The
rain has moved south and east of town and it looks as if we will be in the
clear all day today. With a high in the upper 50s it will be a nice day to
race.
The track is in good shape and dry. We did not make it to the track yesterday
to work. We had vehicle malfunctions and were not able to go. We will be out
a little early today to get things ready to race today.

The weather is nice again today and we have a good forecast for tomorrow
as well. As it looks today we will have good weather for the weekend also.
It is about time for us to get in our rain cycle with 2 or 3 days of rain
followed by 2 or 3 days of no rain.
The track is dry and ready to race on. It has been dry for the last few
days and we hope for the weekend as well. Things look good and there has
been quite a bit of work done the last 2 weeks.

The nice weather has gone away and we have been getting more rain. Someday
it has to stop raining! We did race yesterday and we had lots of fun, if

More work on the track. Things are looking great now and getting much

It is nice to say it is not raining for a change. Today was a little cool
but warm enough to be out working outside. Tomorrow will be nice and we
will be racing.

We had to cancel yesterday due to muddy spots on the track. It is not
muddy today and the weather looks good for racing Sunday. All our work
from last weekend is in good shape and the track looks nice except the
1st straight which has some rough areas. Riders just can't stay out of the
mud.
Our weather forecast is for clear till Sunday evening and then a chance of
rain. It was nice today and is supposed to get warmer during the weekend.
This will be a nice day to be at the track to race.

We will not race tonight as the track is still muddy from the rain day
before yesterday. Most of the track is dry but the 1st straight is wet at
the bottom of the starting hill. We had more riders on the track yesterday
riding a 3 wheeler and making a mess of the muddy places on the track. All
can be fixed with a little work.
We have an ever increasing chance of rain for Sunday. We may not be able to
race again this weekend. Some of us will be out working on the track on
Saturday so come by get some time on the track and help us get the track
even better.

The weather is looking better this afternoon as the clouds have gone and it
did warm up some today with tomorrow looking even better. The track is wet
and muddy today.
All of the work we did this last weekend was not washed away and looks
pretty good now that it has been watered and some packing has been done.
The new stuff on the track looked OK and the turns look much better now.

Another day we have to cancel. It is raining currently but the track is not
in bad shape after the work of the last weekend. It has been freshened up

Winter has returned and rain is on the way. They are saying it will start

some good work on the track yesterday and have more to be done today to
get things really nice. THANKS to those who came out yesterday to work. All
day we had riders who came from the NEW Skate Park to our track, it was
really crowded at the Skate Park from what we hear. They came to the track
instead so we had riders on the track till after dark last night.

The weather was better than nice today and we did get a lot of work done
on the track today with more in store for tomorrow. We just can't say enough
good words for the weather today but it is supposed to turn worse tomorrow.

be racing on Sunday.

It was nice to have enough riders to race yesterday. Things were nice and
we had a good time racing. The track is dry but needs some minor work so

have to wait to see if we will be racing Sunday after all.

We did not have enough riders to have Practice last night. Things are not
looking good for the tracks. We need riders to come out to support both
tracks. The weather has been good and it is time to get back out to the
tracks.
We had nice weather again today with a little rain but not enough to do
much but settle the dust. The track is dry and ready to race and it looks
as if we will have great weather for the weekend. We will be racing on
Sunday. We will have very nice weather both days.

Today is Tuesday and we will have a Practice session if enough riders show
to make an Official Practice. Now we have the raised Practice session fee
to ABA and we have to have at least 10 riders just to cover the fee. We
need all riders to come out and have some fun tonight.
The weather is a little cooler than the weekend but it is still nice and
much warmer than it has been for some time. It is a welcome change from
cold and wet weather we have had for the last several months.

The track was busy yesterday while we raced. We had a good turn out of
riders and we could not have asked for better weather. The track was dry
and we did a little work before races to get things moving.
The heavy equipment has been gone for a few days now, we hope it comes back
soon so we can get some heavy duty work done around the track.

Sign ups from 6-7PM. The track is in good shape and the weather couldn't be
much better to race today. We have had real nice weather today and it looks
like it will only last today and rain tonight about midnight.
We do have rain headed this way today. The track is dry and could use a
small amount of rain to get it back into working shape to pack and get

What a nice day again today, the weather has been great. The track is drying
out nicely and will be ready to race tomorrow. It looks as if we may get
some rain late Thursday or early Friday but that should not cause any
problems for racing this weekend.
We had some heavy equipment out at the track today, it was doing work to
our huge pile of rock which the city stored next to the track. The operator
told us that it will be cleaned up soon and we may get some work done at
the track while the loader is here working. It can get much done in a hurry
and we plan to put it to work for an hour or so to get some rough drainage
work done and also move some dirt around parts of the track.

The weather was great as can be exspected for Winter in Oklahoma City. It

More rain today will force us to cancel today.
Today we have much news about BMX.
Our REDLINE CUP QUALIFIER has been scheduled, Sign ups times are noon-1:30PM
On the 4th of July this is the day after the SUPER NATIONAL at DeSoto, Texas
and will allow riders to get in a National and a TRIPLE point race on this
4 day weekend.
As we said the Sooner National was a great success (AGAIN) this year. We at
Sooner Pearl BMX want to thank all riders and family members who came to
race and for their participation in this event. As we have done before both
Sooner Pearl BMX and Yukon BMX sold 50/50 this year. And again this was
split with Sooner Pearl selling on Friday and Sunday and Yukon on Saturday.
It was a great Sunday for Sooner Pearl BMX, we sold tickets and had $196 to
give away but the person who won donated the money to Sooner Pearl. With
that happening the track made $440 total for the weekend, not bad at all.

The is again wet and muddy, but not in bad shape even with the rain. If we

The Sooner National was a very successful race this year and as usual only
a few of the local riders made the cut to the MAINS. The competition was
very tuff for everyone. All our riders did have a great time and most are
ready for better weather and racing on the local tracks.

last day today. Sooner Pearl will be closed today.
The weather has again taken a turn for the worse. We have had rain all
night and the track was just about dried out from our snow last week. With
the rain lasting all night last night and most of the day today the track
will be in need of work this week before we can have an event.
Well it is HISTORY now. The end has came and it was GOOD. A
little funny thing happened today, there were more motos today than yesterday.
All in all there was 176 motos, up from yesterday and up from last years

The Sooner National will start today with nice sunny skies and warm temps.
The track is ready for racing and riders have begun to arrive.
Today there was 73 motos of racing action. What a day to kick off the
National. We had good weather and it may last till tomorrow evening when
we are forecast to get rain for a day or so.

Again the track is to wet to ride on and we will cancel our race for
today. We will also be closed Sunday February 6th for the Sooner National
in Guthrie at the Lazy 'E' arena.

TOP OF PAGE 02-02-2005 COLD BUT DRY
The weather was nicer today than it has been for several days. It was dry
with some wind and heavy clouds. Even though we didn't get any rain today
the track has not dried from our last snow.

TOP OF PAGE 02-01-2005 NO RACE
Our track is to wet and it is too cold for Race today. We hope things
dry before the races this weekend but it don't look good now. Even with
our wet track things are looking good for the weekend. The current forecast
is for a 20% chance of rain Saturday and none Sunday. Both days should be
in the mid 50s and partly cloudy.

Today it was cold (just above freezing) all day. We had some mist this
morning but the sky was starting to clear just after sunrise. Very little
wind but it was nice just the same for a winter day. We have a chance of
snow tomorrow so we will cancel Practice for tomorrow.
The Sooner National will be this coming weekend and we have been to the
arena to see what is going on.

TOP OF PAGE 01-30-2005 NO RACE TODAY
At noon the temp is 32°(wind chill 23°) with overcast skies and freezing
drizzle. We will not race today because of the weather and the track is
still muddy from the snow on Friday. We have a chance of snow later today
and Monday, it may clear off after Monday. As of today it looks like next
Thursday may be our next chance to ride on the track.
The Sooner National will start next Friday with Practice and a race. Watch
here for DAILY NEWS about the track and what is going on at the
Arena next week. We will also have NEWS of the races along with some fresh

At 5PM the temp is 37° with overcast skies. The high today is forecast to
be 41°. As of this time we have had .3" of moisture but with this cloud
cover not much is drying out. No wind to help matters. It don't look good
for tomorrow with more rain expected and about the same as far as the high
temperature.
The week ahead will see the start of the Sooner National. This National is
getting to be very popular with riders and spectators alike. Again this
year we expect more riders than ever and the greatest racing so far this
year. See you at the Lazy 'E' Arena.

TOP OF PAGE 01-28-2005 SNOW
Winter has kicked back in today with snow, freezing rain and sleet. We were
spared most of the mess as the temperature was at or just above freezing so
what came down quickly melted away. But is was nice to see things covered
with snow after all it is winter.
The weekend is looking very wet and cold. We have had cloudy skies and what
has fallen has made the track soaking wet already. With more moisture and
no sun for a couple days the track will not be dry before the middle of
next week.

TOP OF PAGE 01-27-2005 NO RACE TODAY
It seems the weather will again cause us to cancel today. At 2PM the temp
is 42°(wind chill 34°) with overcast skies. The high today is forecast to
be 42°. We also have light rain in the city currently but most is not getting
to the ground.
The weekend looks bad for racing again this week. We are forecast to have
rain at least till Tuesday of next week. This may change but it isn't looking
good for racing till next week. We will wait to see what happens.

TOP OF PAGE 01-26-2005 NICE WEATHER
It is winter and you could not tell it today. With a very little northeast
wind which made it a little cool but overall it was great again today. All
the way to the 60s again so this means there is bad weather coming.
It looks like we may be able to race tomorrow evening if Mother Nature will
keep the rain away. We have a 20% chance of showers for Thursday although
it looks as if the temp will be OK. We will wait to see what happens.

TOP OF PAGE 01-25-2005 PRACTICE TODAY
We will have Practice tonight from 6:30-8:30PM. We hope you come out and
get in some Practice time before the Sooner National which is about
10 days away. This may be the only time we get for Practice before the
National in Guthrie.
The forecast is not looking good for the days ahead till the National. As it
is today we have a chance of rain starting tomorrow and till Tuesday of next
week. We may be able to get in a little time but that will depend on Mother
Nature.

The weather was great today and it may last till Thursday, then rain in the
forecast. It made it to the upper 60s today and we will have an warm night
with more of the same tomorrow.
The track is dry now and ready for riding. It must be as we had more motorcycle
riders on the track Sunday evening. We had to call the Police to get their
attention but they woke up and found out they could be arrested and have
their trucks and motorcycles impounded to boot. It was enough to get them
in the mood to quit riding on the track.

TOP OF PAGE 01-23-2005 NO RACE TODAY
We will not race today. At 9AM the air temp is 18° (wind chill 8°). The
weather forecast is for clear and 41° today. It will not be warm enough to
race today. Sorry.................
Our weekly forecast shows 60s on Tuesday and Thursday so it looks as if we
will be able to Practice Tuesday evening and race Thursday. They are
saying we may have rain next weekend so we will have to wait to see what
happens for next weekend which is the last weekend before the Sooner
National. It would be nice to be able to get in a little track time before
the National.

TOP OF PAGE 01-22-2005 NO RACE TODAY
We will not be racing today. The weather was great yesterday but is bad
today. A cold north wind and upper 30s will make for a cool day. It looks
as if Sunday will be a wash as well on racing. It seems at least this
weekend it will be to cold to race at all.
The track is in good shape and is drying out. There is ongoing work both
on and off the track. If it is not real cold there may be work this weekend.
As it is the week we have had to be at the track each day to stop either
motorcycle riders or vandals from wreaking havoc. Even this did not stop
some of the damage.
TOP OF PAGE 01-21-2005 WHO WHAT?
Yes we did race last night.
The track was again visited by motorcycle riders and they left a mess but
it was all but gone by race time. The weather was as good as it could get
and the races were fun. It was nice to be out on the track again.
As of this date Sooner Pearl will not race on Saturdays.

We will be racing tonight with Sign ups from 6-7PM.
The track is in good shape and ready for races tonight. We will be there
so come out to get in a race before the Sooner Nationals which are creeping
up on us. We only have 2 weeks till this race and our riders need to get
out and get some track time before these races.

The ABA has informed us we have scheduled our REDLINE CUP QUALIFIER on
July 4th 2005. We have not set our Sign up times yet but they will be late
morning to allow riders who raced at the Super Nationals in DeSoto to ride
up to pick up an extra Triple point race for the 3 day weekend.
We have more riders on motorcycles our riding the track today. We ran them
off the track but it seems we still can't get the City to help in doing this
when we are at the track.
TOP OF PAGE 01-18-2005 NOT TODAY
At 4PM the temp was 47° (wind chill 39°) so it will be to cold to have
practice tonight. The track is still damaged from the weekend riders and
it not in the best of shape today.
A couple of us will be out working on the track tomorrow evening to get it
ready for a race Thursday evening. It looks as if we can get a race off
Thursday and the weekend looks better. We will be racing both Saturday and
Sunday. The Sign up times are shown below.
TOP OF PAGE 01-17-2005 BAD WEEKEND
It seems if someone is not at the track every minute of the week and
the weekends there will be damage of some sort to the track. This weekend
at least one 4-wheeler was rode on the track and did some damage. Not to bad
but this kind of thing just means more work to be done before we can have
a race or practice.
It seems some don't understand it is against the law to ride on our track
or for that matter anywhere around our track on a motorcycle or ATV. The
Police don't seem to be able to stop riders in our area. If you happen to
at the track and see someone riding on anything other than a bicycle these
riders need to know the track is for bicycles only.
TOP OF PAGE 01-16-2005 NO RACE TODAY
No racing today, at 11AM it is 19° (wind chill 6°). The sky is clear and
from inside is looks nice outside but it is very cold. Our weather forecast
for next week looks good today and the temps for next week keep going up.
Today it looks as if the weather will be much warmer later this week. It
may be warm enough to have practice Tuesday evening as the high is forecast
to be around 50°, Thursday looks better and next weekend should be near 60°
both days. No precip in the forecast so we will see what happens.
TOP OF PAGE 01-15-2005 NO RACE TODAY
We will not race this morning due to the weather. At 8am it is a cool 19°
air temperature (wind chill 6°). Just a little on the cold side and well
below our 40° threshold for an event. At least the weather forecast has
changed and it looks as if we will not get any precip this weekend or next
week. As it stands mid week next week looks good for a Thursday evening
race and next weekend looks great. We will see what happens.
Tomorrows high is now forecast to be in the lower 30s and clear skies about
like today. Today is looks as if we will not be racing any this weekend. If
it really warms up above freezing today a couple of us may be out working
at the track but that depends on the temperature today.

Winter is upon us again today and it is cold and dreary. Cloudy grey skies
a little wind and around freezing temperatures all day (wind chill 24°).
Right now it looks as if the weekend will be a wash for racing. Today the
only damp part of the track is the 2nd turn (which gets no sun in winter)
and coming out of that turn. The rest of the track is dry enough to ride
on. Since we will have 20's tomorrow and freezing rain on Sunday it looks bad.
Next week looks good after Wednesday and currently next weekend looks good.
We hope we can get another race off this month but it looks as if we have
a wet winter ahead.
TOP OF PAGE 01-13-2005 NO RACE TODAY
The track is drying out good and it is dry enough to ride on today but the
weather is to cold for racing after sundown.
Our weather is forecast to be well below our 40° threshold till the middle
of next week. We hope it will warm up enough to race this weekend but the
forecasts look like below freezing all weekend long with lows in the teens.
We will keep an eye on the weather and let you know if we will be racing
either day this weekend.
TOP OF PAGE 01-12-2005 MORE RAIN AND COLD
Today we did get rain in some parts of town but the track got little or
no rain at all. It is drying out nicely and should require very little work
to prepare for races or practice.
It is not looking good for racing ast least the next week as we have a
forecast that is well below our threshold to cancel an event. We will
continue to watch the weather and let you know what we will be doing for
Saturday and Sunday.
TOP OF PAGE 01-11-2005 NO PRACTICE
No Practice today due to the weather........again.
It was very overcast, cool and damp today. The track did dry some but very
little and is more damaged from the damp weather and riders on the wet
track.
The weather is looking like a rollercoaster for the next few days and it
will be hard to tell what we may be doing until the day of an event. If
you look at the forecasts there will not be a day nice enough to race for a
week and it may be bad then as well. The weekend looks good except our
daily high temps will be well below our 40° threshold for cancelling an
event. We will have to see what is in store for the weekend but we have
more rain coming Wednesday night and Thursday. If this comes in it may not
be nice enough to dry before the weekend even if we have good weather on
Saturday and Sunday.
TOP OF PAGE 01-10-2005 10 DAYS
Today the track was still pretty wet. The weather has been damp, cloudy and
no wind to speak of which means the track did very little drying today. If
we are to go onto the track tomorrow it will still be damp. The way it looks
today we have another cloudy damp cool day tomorrow.
On the brighter side things are looking good around the track. As wet as the
track has been we have had little damage due to riders on the wet track and
there has been some work done this weekend and today. Some grass cleared
off the track and work on a turn and a big jump are some things which have
had some time devoted the last few days. The 1st. straight is getting
better this week. It should look much better after this cold weather goes
away.

The track is still to wet for riding today so we will cancel our race. A
few of us will be out working on the track today maybe more on off the track
work than on the track itself. This will depend on how much it dries before
we get out to work today.
We may change the Tuesday practice to a race if the weather is nice enough
for us to race. Check back Monday evening for more on this.
TOP OF PAGE 01-08-2005 NO RACE
Today it did not clear off as forecast and the track is still to wet for
working on or racing. All the ice and snow is gone but we did not have much
wind today till after dark and the sun didn't come out till late afternoon.
We did not do any work today but we will be out working tomorrow.
Since we will not be able to race Sunday we may change our Tuesday evening
practice to a race if the weather is good till then.
TOP OF PAGE 01-07-2005 BETTER WEATHER
The weather was somewhat better today and is supposed to be much better this
weekend. As it stands today we will be unable to race tomorrow as the track
is still to wet for riding, the ice is gone and we did have some drying
today but very little as it stayed cloudy and damp most of the day.
We will be out working on the track Saturday to get ready for our Sunday
race. With clear skies and some wind the track should dry enough to get a
race in on Sunday. Check here later tomorrow or early Sunday for the final
word on the Sunday race. The weather forecast is for a temp in the upper
60's Sunday and clear skies.

The track is still icy and muddy from the weather we had yesterday. We will
not race tonight. It looks as if we will not be able to do much for a
couple days till the track dries out some so we may work on it.

parents this week "DON'T CHANGE YOUR NUMBER PLATE YET". It seems the ABA has
come to tell everyone what we have been saying. Since ABA has not announced
the District points are 'FINAL' it is not a good idea to change just

We have had rain all day today and we will not be able to race tonight. The
track is not in bad shape yet but it is very muddy. This message was not
updated till late due to the fact we have been out working on the track.
THANK to everyone who came to race Saturday and Sunday. We had some
nice weather for our 1st race of the year. Sundays race we had nice more
good weather till about time to start racing and the wind changed direction
and it started to cool of pretty fast.
NEWS
Sooner Pearl BMX will have a few changes in the regular schedule in 2005.
Yukon BMX has scheduled their State Qualifier for May 14th 2005. We will be
getting the Redline Cup Qualifier and our State Qualifier scheduled soon
and we will post the dates here first.

TOP OF PAGE 01-03-2005 WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
It is already 3 days into this new year and it is raining again. As it
looks today we will get more rain today and it will clear on Tuesday and
rain again Thursday. We will see what happens.
Speaking of what happened.......The weekend was great. We were able to race
both days and had good turn out of riders both days. The second number
plate was given away yesterday, it stayed in Oklahoma. The track was in
great shape for our weekend races. THANKS to everyone who helped prep last
week and a special THANKS to Bob Freels, Track Operator at Yukon BMX for
coming over to help. NOW for some real NEWS
Sooner Pearl BMX will have a few changes in the regular schedule in 2005.
One, we will be racing more on the weekends at least until April. There
will be other changes during the year. You can find out about them right

At 7am things are pretty quiet and dry. The radar shows no rain in the area.
We had no rain over night and it looks good for racing today. Sign ups are
from 1-2pm. The track is in great shape and we got many good compliments
yesterday on the track condition from riders.

01-01-2005 9:20:44 AM RACE OR NOT?
As it looks currently all the rain will be south and southeast of the city.
For now we are racing and will be unless it rains, it is cloudy and the
wind is gusting to 20 mph. The National Weather Service shows misting and
it is damp but no water standing. The tracks are dry and the mist will dampen
them so we don't have to water them before racing today.
We are headed to the track!
