CLOSED JULY 4th
A well deserved weekend off for the track management. Sooner Pearl will be closed for the weekend as many will be out of town for the holiday. As it looks now we may have had to cancel due to rain anyway and we can all plan something with the family outside BMX for this weekend. As always we want everyone to have a fun and safe weekend.
We will have to wait and see about races on Thursday evening, if the track is dry we will race!

NO PRACTICE TODAY
The rain moved back in today and we will cancel Practice for today due to track conditions. It looks as if the track got only a little rain and we were lucky not to have many muddy spots. Other than a little mud it is good shape as long as we don't get much more rain tonight. At 9pm we have more rain due to move into town in about an hour or so with 2 more waves later tonight or early morning.

RACE SCHEDULE AND TIMES
It needs to be said there was some confusion at the track Sunday. Due to the number of riders here to race this weekend the Sign up time at Sooner Pearl was changed to allow as many riders as possible to race Sunday evening and allow everyone to get on the home earlier. The change was announced several times at Yukon BMX during and after the RCQ and posted here yesterday (HOT NEWS 06-27-2004) also on the track phone. There were some who did not know. We are sorry for the confusion and make every effort to keep everyone informed ASAP to any changes made.
Please call for the track for the latest information.
We try very hard to have the best experience for every rider and visitor.

REDLINE CUP QUALIFIER
Day 3 of the 800 point weekend.
At 8am it is nice at 68 and clear with NO RAIN!.
Yukon BMX will be racing this morning with Sign ups from 10-11:30am. Today is the only Redline Cup Qualifier in Oklahoma. Both tracks are ready for racing today and the weather looks as if it will be hot and dry.
There has been a change in Sign up times at Sooner Pearl. Todays Sign up time will begin 1 hour after the end of the RCQ in Yukon. Check the phone message today for more info.
If you plan to come to Sooner Pearl please bring bug repellent as the mosquitos will be out in force.
The weather forecast has again changed and looks like we have a chance of rain Sunday 30%. We will keep an eye on it and update you as it changes.

STATE QUALIFIER #2 IS OVER
whoa ya!!!!!!!
This is turning into a killer weekend and today is just got turned up 42 notches along with the temps. It was hot off the track and we have about 2 clouds drift by as the races ran. Did I say it was hot? The track was on fire. Speaking of the track it was a great day to be at the track. We sold 50/50 today along with T shirts for this race. Some dogs and nachos yum, yum.

STATE QUALIFIER
Day 2 of the 800 point weekend.
At 7am it is nice at 64 and clear with NO RAIN!.
We will be racing this morning with Sign ups from 10-11:30am. Today is the 2nd Oklahoma State Qualifier and it will be nice today. We need you to be here at the track racing today if you are interested in getting a STATE PLATE for 2004.

IT STARTS TODAY
The 800 POINT WEEKEND starts today.
AT 10am it is overcast and the temp is 73. The area radar shows no rain but with the clouds and heat pop goes the thunderstorms. We hope it all will go around us for this weekend! Yukon will race tonight if we don't get any rain. Both tracks are ready to race. Maybe the clouds will keep us cool and dry.

WORK DAY
One day without rain! We will be at the track working again today. As always we would love for you to come help. Bring your weed eater, mower or a rake so you can have as much fun as we have. If you are out later today you may want to bring some insect repellent as the mosquitos will be out if we don't have much wind today.

NO PRACTICE, WE WILL BE WORKING ON THE TRACK AFTER 5
More rain last night and the track is to wet for Practice tonight. We will be out working on the track after 5pm, if you would like to come help bring a weed eater or mower as we have both to do before the weekend races. We have much work to do to the track also as it is ripe to work on and the rain this week has left it is rough shape.
Word is we will have the BOBCAT back out soon for more work on the track but that work will be after this weekend. We will let you know if you would like to help we would like you to come out. This time we will be working on drainage and raising some of the track so it will drain better in the future. Also some work on the driveway to get rid of the mud puddles.

MORE RAIN TODAY
This morning we woke to rain and it rained till about 10am. The forecast is for more later tonight and in the morning. We had several wet areas on the track before the rain today but still it is not in bad shape. We will need to wait to see about Practice Tuesday but if it rains as much as forecast Practice will be cancelled for this week. Currently the forecast is for more rain Tuesday and no rain Wednesday or Thursday. Slight chance of rain Friday and dry this weekend. We will be working on the track Wednesday and Friday to get ready for the State Qualifier on Saturday. If you would like to come out and help we would appreciate your help. Call the track phone for more on the work schedule as it will be updated daily this week.

RACE TODAY?
HAPPY FATHERS DAY. As of 9am it looks like rain and the local radar shows a huge line of rain headed for town. We did get rain for 2 hours today. It rained until about 1pm so the track was to wet for races today. It looks as if we will have more rain in store for tomorrow and mid week.

FATHERS DAY RACE SUNDAY
If we have a race tomorrow we will be celebrating FATHERS DAY. FATHERS who come out will be able to race a ribbon race FREE. Not only that but we will have a TACO DAY courtesy of TACO MAYO , each moto winner will get 2 FREE tacos from TACO MAYO. We may have another Mystery Moto also, who knows that is why we call it a Mystery Moto.
Our current long range forecast for June 25,26,27 looks like we have a chance of rain on Friday and clear the rest of the weekend. As we all know here in these parts this will change but it looks good now. As for the the early part of the week we have HOT and DRY on tap.

RACES YESTERDAY
It was a warm evening and we all have fun racing last night. We had a Mystery Moto last night and gave our winner Dennison Smith a nice new pair of grips for his bike. We did have some rain today but the track is still in good shape. We also have rain in the forecast for tonight and thru the weekend. At the time this message will be posted we have a line of heavy rain on track to move into town later today. We also have another line of rain forming in the Texas panhandle which are also heading this way.

We will be racing tonight with Sign ups from 6-7pm.
All the rain has passed town and it will be a great evening to get out and race today. Things are starting to wind up for the 800 POINT WEEKEND on June 25,26,27 and we will be looking forward to this fast and heavy race weekend. We look forward to having all Oklahoma riders in town for these races along with many out of town riders here for these race events.

PRACTICE TODAY
With no rain of today we will be at the track for Practice today. Now is the time to start getting ready for the BIG 800 point weekend next week. The racing will be hot and competitive as we will have a State Qualifier and a Redline Cup Qualifier with a few single point races in the mix. It will be a BIG weekend for BMX here as we have NO other BIG races in Oklahoma or Texas and we may have many riders from Arkansas and Missouri here for this race event.

HOT AND DRY
It is almost summer and the weather is getting ready for the hot and dry season here. Today and yesterday we had warm temps and clear skies. The rain has gone for now and we will be dry for a few days. The forecast is for more rain Wednesday and Saturday this week.

We have rain showers on the west side of town moving into town at 8:30am. It looks as if most of it will be missing town but we can't tell now. NO MORE RAIN
It was nice today with cloudy skies and some wind. A little on the warm side but a nice day after all the rain we get this week. The track is now dry and ready to work.

The rain has gone and the track is on its way to getting dry. It is still to wet to work. We will have to wait till tomorrow to start getting it ready for races on Sunday. RAIN, RAIN AND MORE RAIN
Old Mother Nature has opened the flood gates and let it rip today. The track is wet and will not be dry for some time. We need the rain but we would also like to race. We will have to wait till another day.

Rain has moved into town this afternoon and we will cancel Practice today. At 3pm there was light misting rain at the track with more on the way. As it stands now it looks as if we will be getting rain till after sunset. We would have liked it more if it had not rained but we do need this rain as it is slow and will soak in. Guess we will need to mow again in the next few days.

RACE YESTERDAY
We had a great turn out yesterday and we also had some volunteers (which is almost as good as many riders) for our race. We would like to say again THANK YOU! As everyone knows these volunteers are what makes a good race day better and the track better. Thanks again.
We will be needing many volunteers for our BIG RACE WEEKEND scheduled for June 24-27. If you would like to help please let us know. We could always use (and/or abuse) any help we can get.

STORMS AND HEAT
The weather was the subject of the day today with rain all around the city and very little which made it to town. It looked as if we would be hit hard at midnight just to have it fizzle out just as it moved into the west side of town. So we had heat but the rain stayed away.

We will be changing our routine on our PRACTICES starting next week. We had a few riders who did not follow rules last week and this will not happen again. We will be making our changes this week and will let everyone know next week on Tuesday evening.

The track had more work tonight both before Practice and during Practice. It has been very dry so far this year and the track requires very much watering before all the fun stuff begins. It is getting faster and the minor changes have set in the local riders. It is beginning to get HOT around here as the riders come out and work on their skill on the track.

We had a nice turn out for our Race for Life yesterday and we hope that everyone had a good time. We want to thank all of our volunteers who made things much easier all day long yesterday. We would not have been able to do it without you.
It was a very nice evening to race as the weather was cool and very little wind made for great racing. We have many riders who came to race for the first time and we think they had some real BMX fun.

We got rain most of the afternoon today and will cancel races for tonight.
Race for Life is scheduled for May 15th with Sign ups late in the day from 6-7pm, so maybe we can have it on a cool evening. PRACTICE
What a good day to have been at the track. Our Practice yesterday started out as most but with a little wind. At about 8pm the rain blew in at about 50mph and made us cancel our session, then the rain left in 10 minutes but the track was to wet to work on or ride so everyone left.

WHAT RACES YESTERDAY
After the rain on Friday and all the work to get the track dried for races this weekend it was great on Sunday. We had several out of state and a few out of town riders present for races other here and at Yukon. I think it was a great time for all.

RAIN TODAY
At 10pm it looks as if the rain has moved out of town and we will be missed by the other rain in the area this evening. We may get some rain very early at about 2-3am Saturday morning, currently that rain is very light and may not even be reaching the ground although it shows up on weather radar.
Both tracks will be ready to race tomorrow as long as we don't get much more rain and that is looking to be the case now. This page will be updated early Saturday morning.
Yukon MAY postpone their race till after our race tomorrow but it looks as if we will have the 400 point races this weekend. Yukon may race after Sooner Pearl Saturday if we can't get it dry enough to race in the morning.

Another day of work for the track today with no work done at the track. Most of the day was spent working on mowers to get the track cleaned up and get the grass mowed.

The track looks much better today after the rain Sunday morning. Most of the infield is dry and so is most of the track. Someone was on the track today with a 4 wheeler between 2 and 6pm. WHAT RACES?
It was another day to remember at Sooner Pearl today. We had a good rider turn out and maybe the spectators out numbered the riders. It was good to see everyone out at the track. The weather was better than expected and to races were great. No broken bones but we had a couple of crashes, a broken (and carried to the finish line) bike and some riders who just went home knowing next time will be much better.

Girls got something special yesterday. Only the GIRLS who came out know what it was and they ain't telling.

WOW AGAIN
The track had some free work done yesterday and it may take a few by surprise. It seems the drive is now in better shape thanks to the crews working along the river. A little bump and grind with the Road Grader made the drive much better, level and smooth. Now if the track was only that way. It was grand to see the riders out having fun and racing last night. Mother Nature took it easy on us and we had a near perfect night for racing. It was near calm and cool enough for the riders.

The day was great today and we had spring weather here. Dry warm and light winds made for a nice day after all our winter weather. The weather pattern will be changing a little and we should be racing more often. The weather forecast looks good for weekend races and into next week.

RACES YESTERDAY
We did race yesterday with many riders showing up for the early Sign Up times we will be using for the 400 Point Weekends. The weather was much nicer than the forecast had it planned with little wind and nice warm sunshine all day.
The riders started working on the changes we made last week and a few were having a hard time with our new obstacles. Changes in the 3rd straight and the rhythm section made for some great changes and good races!
Yukon BMX raced yesterday as part of the 400 Point Weekend. Both tracks look forward to getting a full weekend of races completed. Maybe the rain stay away next month. See you on April 3rd & 4th.

Our new montra at Sooner Pearl.
We will be working with riders and parents to improve the rider count at our races. Several new things will start soon to help get riders back on the track and keep them coming back. It will be a big project and we will need help from our parents, riders and Board members together.
This coming weekend we will start working on track modification. The track has become routine and needs changes. This work will involve changes to the lay out of the track and also address problems places. The weather was great today and we raced!
The morning was cloudy and cool but as the afternoon got started the sun came out the winds died off and it was as good as it could get. Our crazy weather has once again opened and it looks as if both tracks here will be able to race this weekend. It will be nice today (for a change) and Yukon BMX will be racing with Sign ups from noon to 1pm. Both tracks are dry and ready for races.
Sooner Pearl will be racing Sunday with Sign ups from 1-2pm.
As always the tracks are looking for individuals who are ready to help at races and working around the track. Remember these tracks are run by nothing but VOLUNTEERS. Any help from people outside our BOARD members just make all the tracks better and gives you time to get to know other FAMILY members who come to watch and race. It is a way to give back some of your good feelings about BMX racing and HELP your local tracks.
We are very fortunate to have 2 tracks here in the city area and both are working very hard to be great places for everyone to be proud of and to help our future generations there are ways to have fun without turning to BAD things for entertainment. As always it is a way to have 'good clean fun in the dirt' and spend some family time together having fun.

FIRST ON MANY
Today was the start on many visits planned for local schools. And what a day it was, with about 500 children filing into the gym at Townsend Elementary in Del City. All the children had MANY questions about BMX, racing BMX and bicycle safety. Some of the children just couldn't get enough and waited to ask more questions after their session was over. It looks as if there is more than a little interest in this sport in our elementary schools.
We want to thank everyone at Townsend for letting us have a little time to show the children about BMX. Also 'BIG THANKS' to Laney Coker and her parents for letting her come and help show the children we have 'GIRL' racers. It was her 1st time to speak to a crowd of people and she was very good! It looks as if this may not be her last time in front of a crowd.

TRACK WORK
Another dry of winter gone by and we are glad. The track is ready for races Sunday after some work today. It is in good shape and dry everywhere except the second turn which is still damp. Things should like great tomorrow and it looks like the weather will co-operate so we can race.
Today was a nice day as far as the weather went it was a like cool but if you had been on the track it was great with little wind and mid 40's. A great day to be out working on the track.

Today it was dry and pretty cold most of the day. At 9:30pm it is warmer than most of the day. It is above freezing and the winds have died off so it isn't so bad outside. The track is dry but due to the freezing temps and the fact the track was wet will it was freezing most of the track needs to be packed. As long as we don't get any moisture we should be able to race Sunday as the temperatures should be warm enough to race.
As it looks now Yukon BMX will be racing Saturday. We will assume they are and go from there. Sign ups are from noon-1pm and both tracks will be working together this weekend to race as many people are gone to the National in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Dress for cool weather and come out to race this weekend!

MORE RAIN AND COLD WEATHER
Cold wet weather has moved back into town and today was a real reminder that it is still winter here in Oklahoma. The weather forecast is for rain or snow with below freezing temps tonight and tomorrow. The rain may move off tomorrow and we will have clearing skies and cold Thursday.
Friday and this coming weekend should be dry and warmer so both Sooner Pearl and Yukon will be racing Saturday and Sunday. It is time to get back out on the track and back to racing!

The track will be to wet to ride on again today as it will be to cold to dry enough tomorrow.
It looks like the next 20 days will be dry most of the time and we should be able to get back to racing after the track gets dry and the weather warms just a few degree's. MORE RAIN TODAY
Rain moved back in to town last night again and the track was very wet this evening. Most is in good shape except the 1st straight which again has had one or two riders on it this afternoon and will have to be worked on before any races or Practice.
This weather will be changing soon and we will be out racing again soon. This year should prove to be good here in Oklahoma City and we are looking forward to having everyone out to have some fun.

COLD AND DRY
Once again we had cold weather and cloudy skies today which made for a good day to sleep late. The skies are clearing this evening and it looks as if it will be sunny and cold tomorrow but still to cold to race on Saturday.
The track is still to wet to ride or race on but this will change Saturday. The weather forecast is for below 40° temps tomorrow. There will be people out working on the track on Saturday. As it stands today the track will be ready to race on Sunday. We are waiting on word from Yukon BMX as to whether they will be racing Sunday. Some forecasts show near 50° for the high on Sunday with south winds. South winds mean warmer temps.
Stay tuned as we will try HARD to race Sunday at Sooner Pearl, the track will be ready we will have to wait and see on the weather.

Rain and snow moved in today and left us with about 1" of snow on the ground. From the looks of the weather forecast there is a slim chance we may be able to race this weekend. We have needed some rain and it looks as if we will be getting more in the near future.

We will not race today due to the wet track conditions from the rain this weekend. There was standing water on the track last night and considering the time of year we will not race today as the track will just be to wet. Today would have been our second 1st Tuesday race this year but so far both have been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
It does however currently look like we may have a chance to race this weekend and it may be nice enough to get our 1st 400 point weekend in the history books. We will keep an eye on the weather and keep everyone informed on this.

Yesterday it rained most of the day and into the night. We got lucky as we did not get to much below freezing so we had little ice this morning. It was pretty cold all day but the rain moved out and we did get some much needed sunshine today. It will not be enough to dry the track for races tomorrow.

NO WORK ON TRACK TODAY
The weather today is bad again and it looks as if we won't be going out to the track to work. As far as the next week it is beginning to look like we will not be doing much at the track for the next week or so.
The track is dry and ready for working. The current weather forecasts are for cold temps through next weekend and rain, sleet or snow in the mix on Sunday and Wednesday of next week. It appears we have begun the early weather patterns of spring with the 3 days on, 3 days off weather. Anyone not in Oklahoma or close by should know this pattern will coninue till the hot weather arrives later this year. So get ready for this as it will be the standard for the next 3 months. If the timing is right we should be able to continue races when the temp rise and if we don't get to much moisture each time the bad weather moves in.

MORE COLD WEATHER
Today was cold with some fairly strong winds which had the windchill in the single digits today. It was dry and we did have some sunshine but it was cold just the same. Our high temp for the day was late in the evening with rising temps through tomorrow and then the bottom falls out again late Saturday andon Sunday. With a 100% chance of some wet stuff falling on Sunday, they can't make up their mind on whether it will be rain or snow but with the temps it looks more like snow.

The track should dry a little today and it looks as if we will get more snow this weekend and maybe into next week. The weather will give it a last good shot and we hope things will change soon. We all want to get back on the track and see some riders there having fun.

NICE TODAY
The weather was good today with a high of 55° and nice clear skies with plenty of sunshine. Nice for the end of January but it is all about to change. We good back into the freezer tonight.
The track is in fair shape as it has been wet and some riders have been riding in the muddy spots to make some rough areas but it is not very bad this time and the cold will freeze it to save it for working another day. We have had some more vandalism to the tower. It seems nothing can got to long without someone wanting to 'work' on it for us.

With the snow and single digit temperatures we will have to cancel PRACTICE today due to the weather. As it looks there may not be any warm days this week and possibly cold through next week also.

SNOW TODAY
Old man WINTER made a visit today and left us some pretty white stuff. Not much snow today but the wind and the 20° temps made for a cold day today. The roads began to get slick and 4 died in traffic accidents today.
The track is wet and Sunday we had some more riders out riding in the mud which means we have a rough track now and even more moisture from the snow. The weather forecast is for more cold most of this week with more cold to move in next week. Looks as if we may have a few days before we will do much at the track.

SOONER NATIONAL ARE HISTORY
Today was the topping on the cake in more than one way. It was the end of this National which is building this 2004 season and the beginning of a year which will proved to test everyone involved in ABA BMX.
For this final day of the National there were 175 motos and each one proved well worth staying to watch or ride. Someone came through last night and turned this race up a couple notches. The motos were hot and there was some tough spots earned for the MAINS today. The track was again great today, it must be nice to have races on 3 consecutive days and have only minor or no work required for the next day. But alas the races this weekend took another route to tell us that these are BMX and all things happen in BMX. The gate took another trip outside for repairs today.
All in all it was another time to talk to friends make new friends and have a great time. We hope this was the case for everyone as we would like to have everyone back HERE next year.

What a great group of ABA riders have come together this weekend for these races. After things got going it seems there was some problems with the gate. It had to be taken apart and moved to be repaired.
Todays moto count was 191 and it was a far cry from yesterdays races where everyone who ventured on the track found out in a hurry there was no room for debate. It was all out competition from start to finish.
We had some good weather again today with things starting to get a little wet just as everyone started leaving.

The track is great and there was a lot of work put in to make it so. It is fast and smooth.
Here we go, today the Pre-Race was hot racing action with 72 motos on the track today. OK01 has some great finishes and most of our riders made it to the MAINS today. With many more arriving later today and overnight the moto count will increase tomorrow ans Sunday.
The weather was great today with our usual south wind blowing all day till sundown. It was nice and warm today and things look good for tomorrow. Rain is forecast for tomorrow so get ready for that but it will be warm.

It is 10:00pm and it looks like things will be good this weekend. The weather looks like it will be real nice for this time of year. It will be cold tonight (30°), Friday night (45°), Saturday night (40°) and the days are going to great with 60° tomorrow, 58° both Saturday and Sunday. They do say however there is a chance for rain on Saturday. We hope the forecast is real close and it don't rain. Oklahoma is GREAT!
We hear the track in a U inside a U and is about 1000' long. It is different than the last 2 tracks. We will have a booth at the track and want everyone to come by and buy 50/50 tickets. Even with the rough track it was to cold today to PRACTICE. It was fairly nice during the day but windy and that alone made it to cold to be on the track. The track is to wet for anyone to ride on it or they would just make it worse.
Someone said it was not FUN any more to race. Yesterday makes it not FUN to work at the track. It was getting back to its very good riding condition, the moisture had it to easy working and ready to make even better. No one ever said it would be easy!

HEAVY DAMAGE
This holiday proved to be a costly holiday at Sooner Pearl. The weather was nice today not warm but warm enough for some to get on the track. As it stands today we will not have Practice tomorrow. It is most likely we will not be able to repair the damage for races Thursday. The track is in very bad shape. It appears there were at least 1 motorcycle and 4 or more bikes on the track today.
Just go ahead and throw the weather forecast away. The forecast has changed amost every minute in the last couple days. Snow Wednesday, Thursday and now a possibility Saturday and Sunday. Prepare for the worst and it will be sunny and 65!

The rain continues and it looks as if we will be in this pattern for a few days. We have needed the rain and this will help everyone but the BMXers. We did not race last night as the track was just to wet at the starting hill. There was however some other maintenance done around the track. As for the rain we need it very badly but we want to race also. We do need the rain and it looks as if it is here to stay for the weekend. Yukon BMX will not be on Saturday and more than likely Sooner Pearl will not be racing Sunday. We will have to keep an eye on the weather. This time of year it takes at least 2 days of clear weather to dry the track. As it looks today next Thursday will be our last chance to race before the Sooner National.

Due to the rain we had overnight we will NOT have Practice tonight.
The weather is great (now) since the rain has moved on. The track is to wet with water standing on the track at noon. The rain has made working on the track very easy and we will have a WORK DAY Saturday January 17 from 10am till we leave.

RAIN TODAY
We had light rain move into town at sundown today and it looks as if it will continue to rain most all night. The track needs some moisture and this will help make it easy working for a couple of days.
We did race yesterday and we had loads of fun and the weather was great!

RACE TODAY
Sooner Pearl will be racing today with Sign ups from 1-2pm.
It will be a beautiful day and the racing should be great. The track is in good shape and dry. The weather will be warm and we will have some south winds. Work continues around the track we have been working on the track a little bit at a time and it is beginning to look nice as well

Oklahoma Redline Cup Qualifier

Only 12 days till the Sooner Nationals in Guthrie at the Lazy 'E' Arena. Riders READY, watch the light. Now is the time to begin preparing for the National.
Currently the long range forecast is for very nice weather with the high temps in the upper 50's and lows in the mid 30's with clear skies. As always this will change but for now it looks great!

RACES YESTERDAY
We did race last night and had a little cold racing action at Sooner Pearl if you didn't come then you missed out on all the fun!

OK here is the scoop for today....
Yukon BMX will be racing Saturday, they have moved up Sign up time to 11- noon. This is to make sure everyone has time to get ready for their 1st Annual Riders Appreciation Banquet.

Sooner Pearl will be racing Sunday, Sign ups will be from 1-2pm
The weather will be great this weekend and races should be HOT!

It is with regret we need to announce that Tresa Cantrell has resigned her position as President of OKBMXPA and Track Operator at Sooner Pearl. As of January 4th 2004 the President and Track Operator is Richard Axtell.

As most everyone should know later this month we will have the Sooner Nationals in Guthrie at the Lazy 'E' Arena. All OK01 riders need to get out and get READY! Riders to STAGING, if you plan to race the National remember there are only 8 race dates till this National. It will be BIG TIME racing and our riders need to get ready as this event will be upon us soon.

The temps fell yesterday and we had to cancel races. Today the temps just kept going down and the forecast is for 10° tonight. brrrrrrrrrrrrr
Things get looking better after Wednesday and the forecast for Thursday is in the upper 50's.

We will NOT RACE today due to the temp and wind chill, at 9am the temp is 31° with a 19° wind chill. We want to race as much as everyone but we don't want riders getting sick from racing on COLD days like today. Sorry......
We will reschedule this race for another nicer day.

This race is a good example of a well located National at a facility that is well suited for this type event. Located just north and east of Oklahoma City out of towners have access to all we have in short order. Guthrie is a very interesting town and many may want to stay in a rustic turn of the century town. You can find entertainment, shops, eateries and theater just a few minutes away.

HEAVY RACE YEAR
As this season gets started we want racers you to visit and race here in Oklahoma. Now with 2 tracks open and racing here in the Oklahoma City area it is a good time to get in racing time and not have to travel far. We want BMX racers come to Oklahoma and have a great time and race.

January RACES
Sunday January 4th is our next scheduled race. Currently the weather forecast is for rain and 40° which is the threshold to cancel races. The possibility of rain come down in the last couple of days and one forecast shows clear and 58°. Another wait and see race day.

January 23-25 will be the date of the National here in Central Oklahoma. Moved up a month from last year it may prove to make it even more fun than ever. I'd say most everyone had some great stories from 2003. One of the best venues for this type event the Lazy 'E' Arena just can't be beat and again if you miss it you miss one of the best National events of the year.

RACES TODAY!
Today was a great day and if you missed the races today then you just missed out. The weather was very nice both for Yukon and our races. It was cloudy this morning for the races at Yukon but other than that it was very nice. By afternoon the clouds started clearing off and it warmed up 67 during the afternoon. we had rides from Kansas and we were looking for some Texas riders but they didn't come in today. They missed out on some great races.

We can only hope things will be this nice the rest of the year.
